Stockbridge Market celebrates 5 years trading on Sunday 11th September! It’s been an amazing five years having traded every Sunday all year round from 10am to 5pm come rain and with only one market ever cancelled due to high winds. Come rain or shine people flock to Stockbridge Market to stock up on fantastic seasonal produce, or to refuel on sensational street food.
The average number of traders has grown from 11 to 49 and the product range widened to include meat, fish, game, veg, fruit, cheese, olives, jams, home bakes, interesting alcohol and great street food.
It’s not all about food at Stockbridge Market with gift opportunities including craft products, soaps, lotions, potions and textiles.
A few of the regular traders have gone on to open restaurants and shops in town and the market has also helped various charities, schools and local groups to raise their profile and collect that much-needed bit of cash. It’s a testament to how much the public love small independent traders and enjoy a bit of chit chat while shopping.
So come help celebrate Stockbridge Market’s birthday on September 11th and take the chance to collect one of the new discount cards for loyal locals – the 3 2 5 card entitles shoppers to discounts and deals if they shop between 3pm and 5pm.
Hopefully see you there!
